These terms govern your use of Kaguya ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them.

1. What the app does

The app transcribes spoken words and displays a translation. Transcription and translation are automatic and are not guaranteed to be accurate.

2. Relying on the output

The output is an aid for reference. Always have a person verify it before acting in the following situations.

• Contractual or commercial decisions
• Medical or safety-related judgements
• Legal proceedings and official filings
• Amounts, quantities and dates, where an error would cause loss

We are not liable for loss arising from errors in the output.

3. Restrictions

Please do not:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose;
• use it where recording is prohibited;
• record where doing so without the consent of those present would be inappropriate;
• reverse-engineer or circumvent the app's mechanisms;
• send a volume of requests that interferes with the service.

4. Usage limits

Each plan has a monthly limit on minutes. When the limit is reached, no new recording can be started for the remainder of that month. Limits reset on the first day of each month (UTC).

5. Fees

Prices, included features and monthly limits for paid plans are shown in the app and on this site. We will give notice before changing them.

6. Your records

Transcripts, translations and audio are stored on your device. We cannot recover records lost through loss or failure of the device, or removal of the app. Export anything important and keep a copy elsewhere.

7. Interruption and discontinuation

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, faults, or outages of external services. We may also discontinue it after giving reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer

We do not warrant that the app is fit for your particular purpose, that it will be available without interruption, or that its output is accurate. Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the app.

9. Changes to these terms

Changes are published on this page. Significant changes are also announced in the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
